My Story

I was born February 25, 1988 in the Southern California coastal town of Encinitas. I was raised by hippie parents and surrounded by a very spiritual atmosphere. I started meditating when I was 3 years old. Growing up I used to spend my summers in the mountains at meditation camp learning the science of yoga, meditation and intuition. Since I was a little girl I have always loved coloring, on myself and any other surface I could find. At age 7, I started learning how to oil paint with my aunt. I continued to paint on my own throughout my upbringing, enjoying the process of discovery and exploration. After high school l started an intensive training to become a yoga instructor, studying the body, mind, and emotions. For the next 2 years, when I wasn’t doing or teaching yoga, I was painting any chance I had. I started sharing my work online just for fun, and it has been an incredible journey watching things evolve. I am so grateful to all of you who have been following my work since the beginning, and to anyone new here for the first time. I love and appreciate you!

I am honored to have had the opportunity to work and collaborate with so many amazing people all over the world. My illustrations, photographs and paintings have appeared in publications, museums, galleries and private collections all over the world. Some of my clients and projects include Urban Outfitters, Lady Gaga, Hallmark, Volcom Stone, Vans Shoes, Element, Nylon Magazine and Burton.

What art means to me

For me, "art" has never been just about creating the physical expression of a painting, drawing, etc. Art is a lens in which to view the world.. with your life being your ultimate masterpiece. Every thought and every interaction is an opportunity to add beauty, empathy and compassion to the universe. My life is my art project, from the way I dress to the way I carry myself, to the thoughts I think. I choose to consciously create the life I want to live, to be deliberate about what I want to create, while staying open to the natural ebbs and flows of life. While outer circumstances can't be controlled, we do have control over our inner environments, and that is the true art, of mastering Self. I am happy I am able to share my expressions, and as I hear and read the ways people are touched by my work, it inspires me to continue exploring the depths of what is possible, and what can be created when we all stand up and in our true authentic selves.

What I Believe about you

In the history of the universe, there has never been, nor ever will be, anyone exactly like you. You are irreplaceably unique, with unique gifts to offer existence.
Sometimes what makes us unique isn’t always immediately obvious to us. It can take self-exploration, self-discovery and self-acceptance. I believe the more we dive in to ourselves, the more we discover and create who we really are and what makes us come alive. I believe that the more we fearlessly express our true authentic selves and embody it fully, the happier we become. I believe the happier we become, the more we are of service to ourselves, each other, and the planet.
The universe is a richer place because of what you add to it!
Thank you for existing and thank you for the unique ways in which you create art in the world.

"Don't ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive."

-Howard Thurman
